Proverbs 15:22 “Without counsel, plans fail. With many advisors, they succeed.”
Proverbs 11:14 “Where there is no counsel, the people fail; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.” NKJV
Spirit of the LIVING GOD, thank You for this word. May it heal and work in my life and heal and work in the lives of the receivers. I know that our plans are linked to a bigger dream in which the details belong to You. I pray that You purify the character of those that we call counselors, teachers, mentors, and guides. I pray that You Bless my plans to Succeed here on earth and into heaven and beyond. Help me focus and stay focused using Wisdom. Thank You. Amen.
The book of Proverbs suggests several times that we seek counsel for our plans if we want success. I cringed every time I read it for two reasons. The first reason is because counselors are human too. Some of them have egos and selfish agendas which prey people weak in spirit. The second reason is because wisdom also instructs us not to talk too much. Silence is golden, they say. I like talking and writing, so maybe I’m silver or platinum, or an incredibly unique mineral they have yet to discover! (-;
Anyway, I took my cringe reaction into prayer and meditation, and two things happened. The first thing was I remembered a conversation I had with a sister friend. She told me she had a circle of counselors! I wanted to know where they were so I could speak with them. Sis had it going on in an area of her life that I was trying to get popping in mine! They aren’t here, she told me. I wanted to know where they were. They were in the invisible realm. O.K.A.Y.?–back to what we were talking about before that then! We both laughed; and as I requested, went on conversing. However, what she told me about her circle of counselors in the invisible realm always stayed with me.
Recently, Spirit gave me insight into her words, which gave me insight into how I can establish my plans in the multitude of many counselors, without going around bothering folk (or tempting them) with everything on my mind. Here’s how it came to me. One evening, after reading, I simply closed a book that has been a reference in my life for many years. The book is a reference because every time I read it; I learn something new. It helps me remedy whatever I apply it to; and whenever I open it, I feel comforted and lifted. This book is a counselor! On this day I looked at the title again, but the names of the authors caught my attention. I had two counselors for my circle right there! Then the Spirit moved through me, and I looked up at my bookshelf. One by one they began to call out to me, and pulled them down. The titles spoke to me; but the authors names vibrated within me. I thanked and blessed the authors and then I began writing their names down. Some of the authors were still here. Most of them were in the invisible realm. These are my teachers and they are also my counselors. For weeks now I’ve been sitting with them in consciousness at my table, and Heaven knows they are busy helping me work and even revise my plans! The Sprit as God is always at the head of my table, and now I gladly pull out the chairs of mind for my counselors and guides.
I want to offer you this counsel, just in case you don’t feel safe reveling your heart and plans to (wo)man. Go to God in prayer with sincerity. Tell God about EVERYTHANG! And don’t leave anything out trying to be nice and proper! Tell God about your rough draft of a plan. (cause until God finishes with it no matter how perfect you think it is, it’s just a rough draft) Ask God to reveal and/or send your counselors, teachers, and guides, to you. Maybe they are here in this world, perhaps they are in another dimension, or maybe they are in your most revered books—if you care to look—with your HEART. Start your circle of conscious counselors, your master mind, or even your dream team. The first step is prayer. The revelations and counselors will come once called upon. Thank you God for wise counsel in my life, and thank You for plans that make me successful. Amen. And so It Is.
